Accessibility & Personal Preferences

Verolex treats accessibility and interaction preferences as part of ordinary professional service. You may ask for a different pace, simpler presentation, reduced typing, or another reasonable adjustment without providing medical information.

Effective: August 6, 2025 • Last Updated: October 5, 2026

Purpose

Accessibility and personal preferences are handled as part of standard Verolex service. Participants may request adjustments to clarity, pacing, presentation, interaction, or input method without being required to disclose a diagnosis, disability, or other medical information.

How to state a preference

You can state a preference at any time. For example:

  • “Short answers only.”
  • “Step-by-step.”
  • “Checklist format.”
  • “One question at a time.”
  • “Confirm my input before moving on.”
  • “Reduce typing where possible.”
  • “Use text rather than voice where available.”
  • “Give me the summary first.”

A simple description of what would make the interaction easier is usually sufficient.

Preferences we support

Reading and presentation

  • Short paragraphs and clear spacing
  • Summary-first responses
  • Step-by-step presentation
  • Reduced numbers of links, options, or decisions at one time
  • Checklist or structured formats where useful

Typing and input

  • Reduced typing where the interface permits
  • Yes/no, selection, or short-answer responses where appropriate
  • Smaller groups of requested information
  • Confirmation of important entries before progressing
  • Speech-to-text where supported by the browser, device, and applicable Communicator

Pace and cognitive load

  • One question or decision at a time
  • Shorter sets of next actions
  • Plain-language confirmation before proceeding
  • Additional explanation only when requested

Voice and audio

  • Text-based interaction where the applicable workflow permits
  • Repeat, restate, or confirm information on request
  • Use of voice only where the applicable service, access, and workflow support it

Time-sensitive use

  • Summary-first responses
  • Priority actions before background detail
  • Deeper explanation deferred until requested

How Communicators adapt

Verolex Communicators can adjust presentation and interaction style within the capabilities and governance rules of the applicable Communicator.

For example, if you request “step-by-step,” the Communicator may:

  • Present one question or action at a time
  • Confirm an important response before continuing
  • Provide the next applicable action without unnecessary additional material

A presentation preference changes how information is communicated. It does not change verification, authorization, access, eligibility, or other governance requirements.

Privacy & persistence

  • You are not required to provide medical information simply to request a presentation or interaction preference.
  • A preference stated during an interaction may be applied during that interaction where supported.
  • Whether a preference remains available in a later session depends on the applicable account, service, Communicator, and persistence settings.
  • Information submitted to Verolex remains subject to the applicable Privacy & Consent, retention, and governance rules.

Known limitations

  • Some third-party services, embedded tools, forms, or interfaces may not support every requested presentation or interaction preference.
  • Browser, device, account, access, VoicePass, or Communicator settings may affect availability of voice, microphone, speech-to-text, or related features.
  • Some governed Verolex workflows may require a particular method of participation, verification, review, or authorization.
  • An accessibility or presentation preference does not alter requirements necessary to protect identity, privacy, security, authorization, or integrity of a governed result.
